My camera was pointed in the opposite direction from this beautiful scene initially. I was waiting for the sun to rise over the Mitton Buttes. But, it wasn't looking quite the way I wanted it to.
With my camera poised and ready to go, on a tripod pointing the other direction, I kept glancing over my shoulder and the light kept looking better and better on the face of Mitchell Mesa here.
My buddy Matt was patiently waiting to go to breakfast...
As the minutes passed and I kept being less than enthusiastic about the shots pointing toward the Mitton Buttes, I decided to swing the camera around, and capture a few images of the sun rising on Mitchell Mesa.
I'm so glad I did...
